Dental Private Practice Mentorship Program
Led by Dr. Kurt Froehlich
Opportunities for dentists to thrive in private practice remain strong. However, many
new dental graduates, often burdened by debt and limited business exposure, leave
residency programs unprepared to open their own practices—unlike generations before
them. As a result, a growing number of dentists are entering corporate dental
environments where the focus can often be more on profitability than on
comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Under the leadership of Dr. Kurt Froehlich, a seasoned practitioner with over 40 years of
experience, a comprehensive Private Practice Mentorship Program is now being offered
to equip early-career dentists with the skills and confidence needed to pursue practice
ownership or launch independent ventures.
Participants will engage in direct patient care Monday through Thursday in state-of-the-
art facilities located in the scenic Hudson Valley, just two hours from New York City.
Every other Friday is dedicated to one-on-one mentorship and focused learning
sessions. These sessions are designed to teach foundational business principles,
clinical judgment, patient communication strategies, and team leadership skills—all
essential for a successful career in private practice.
This program goes beyond procedural training. Participants will develop a strategic
approach to patient care, become adept at comprehensive treatment planning, and
learn how to foster patient relationships that lead to proactive, long-term health
improvements. Additional focus will be placed on team dynamics, leveraging dental
technologies, and exploring areas of dentistry that align with each participant’s personal
and professional interests.
The program requires a minimum one-year commitment. A customized compensation
package will be provided to ensure that financial burdens—including student loans,
malpractice insurance, and living expenses—do not hinder participation or growth.
Applications are now being accepted for two candidates for fall enrollment. Eligible
candidates include recent residency graduates or practicing dentists currently in
corporate settings who are seeking a more personalized, values-driven approach to
care.
To apply, candidates are invited to submit a current CV along with a letter describing
their values, vision for their future in dentistry, and how they envision practicing in the
next five years.
Dr. Froehlich believes that to become a successful and fulfilled dentist, one must also
become a leader grounded in personal values and integrity. Through this mentorship,
he hopes to share a lifetime of wisdom with those who are passionate about dentistry
and aspire to excellence in both their clinical and professional lives.
