Duties
Patient Care:
(1) Provides general dental care by cleaning teeth (e.g., performs thorough and gentle prophylaxis to patients; performs scaling, root planing and selective polishing for patients as needed; and polishes restorations; identifies and evaluates patient’s tooth decay); fills patients’ cavities, as needed; and provides whitening treatments.
(2) Takes radiographs of patients, as needed; accurately charts each patient’s periodontal health; applies cavity-preventative agents, such as fluorides and sealants.
(3) Reviews x-ray images including CBCT captured in the office to determine the health of the teeth and potential areas of concern and reasons for any referrals.
(4) Administers local anesthetics, as required; places medicaments subgingivally (under the gum line) for dental and oral disease treatment; performs endodontic therapy for anteriors, premolars, and molars; repairs and/or removes problematic and chipped/cracked teeth.
(5) Creates crowns, partials, and dentures by taking impressions; scans patient’s dental work and assesses its clinical acceptability; repairs dentures and/or partials onsite, as needed.
(6) Communicates with patients understandably and professionally; checks on patients' comfort during treatment and assists to reduce any patient anxiety.
(7) Accurately and appropriately records treatment(s) provided to patients; teaches proper oral hygiene techniques to patients; counsels patients on oral health, including the role of nutrition, recommendations on the best toothbrushes and toothpaste for their needs; performs other patient care tasks as assigned.
Treatment Planning:
(8) Determines options for a patient’s dental and oral concerns based upon the associate’s evaluation of the patient’s dental and oral health and related prognoses; outlines recommended dental services and associated timeframes, and estimated costs, if applicable.
(9) Refers patients to dental specialists as needed for recommended procedures including endodontics and oral surgery. (Referral should only be made after reviewing with a senior doctor.)
Records Management:
(10) Securely stores and handles patient records in compliance with practice office policies and procedures, and applicable legal requirements, such as HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
(11) Accurately records and updates patients' medical and dental histories; inputs and records patient information, including exams, tests, and diagnoses/results; and organizes and arranges patient notes, correspondence, documentation, images, treatment plans, signed consent forms, etc.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year. Based on previous associate.

Work Location: In person
Basic restorative, crown and bridge, endodontics, restorative and implant placement (with prior experience), extractions, pediatric restorative.
Any procedure you have experience with you would be able to practice in our office. You will be able to have a full schedule day one replacing a retiring dentist. There will be other dentists offering mentorship with those wanting to expand your skill set. There are other opportunities as we have a two location practice depending on where you would like to practice.
