Big City Dental is a modern general and cosmetic practice, owner-operated, no group, no DSO, in the heart of Chicago's Southport Corridor, the stretch of Lakeview that still feels like a real neighborhood. Our work spans implants, clear aligners, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and everyday preventive care, all delivered in a calm, premium setting.

Here, treatment plans are built on what the patient actually needs, nothing more. Our team is small and tight-knit (two hygienists, two assistants, and a front desk coordinator alongside the owner-dentist), everyone knows every patient, and the schedule is deliberately unhurried. Patients tell us their visits feel efficient without ever feeling rushed, and that comes from how we plan the day, not from pushing people through.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: 30% of adjusted production

Expected Earnings: $220,000–$280,000 annually

Daily Guarantee: $650 per day, guaranteed for the first 6 months

Benefits Include:

• Group health insurance, with 25% of the premium covered by the practice on offered plans

The Opportunity

This is a full-time associate role. You'll step into an established practice with a genuinely different philosophy of care.

Schedule:

• Monday: 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Wednesday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

You'll focus primarily on bread-and-butter restorative and preventive dentistry, with training available to grow into implants, clear aligners, and extractions as you develop.

We're a largely fee-for-service practice, out of network with most plans and in network with Delta Premier, and we submit claims on behalf of our patients. Practically, that means appropriate time per patient, materials and lab work chosen on merit rather than reimbursement, and cases that can be planned properly. We also offer an in-house savings plan and Cherry financing so cost stays a solvable problem rather than a barrier for patients.

Mentorship & Growth

Direct mentorship is available and expected, offered through informal guidance and genuine peer support. As a single-owner practice, we're looking for an associate who can run their own column with support rather than supervision on every case, while having a real mentor to help you grow into more advanced procedures over time.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is:

• A licensed general dentist with some experience preferred
• Strong in bread-and-butter restorative and preventive care, with solid fundamentals and honest judgment
• Someone who knows what they do well, is straightforward about what they don't, and plans cases properly rather than reaching for the fastest option
• An excellent communicator who can explain findings in plain language, present treatment without pressure, and be clear about cost upfront, since our patients choose us on trust, not price
• Able to run their own column independently with mentorship support

New graduates who have completed an AEGD or GPR and are comfortable working independently on bread-and-butter care are encouraged to apply.

• CBCT 3D imaging, used for implant planning and diagnosis
• Digital radiography

• 3D printing (SprintRay Pro2 and MIDAS)
• Certified ClearCorrect provider for clear aligner therapy
