What procedures will the associate be doing?

Associate Dentist – General Dentistry: Scope of Procedures

The associate will provide comprehensive general dentistry care consistent with the practice's family-focused, quality-first philosophy. Core responsibilities include:

  • Preventive & Diagnostic Care — routine exams, cleanings, and oral cancer screenings (standard at every initial visit)
  • Restorative Dentistry — tooth-colored (composite) fillings, crowns
  • Periodontal Care — diagnosis and treatment of gum disease, treated proactively before elective work is performed
  • Endodontics — root canal therapy
  • Implant Dentistry — placement and/or restoration of dental implants
  • Prosthodontics — dentures/general restorative work as needed for family patients
  • Preventive/Protective Appliances — athletic mouthguards

The role is centered on family dentistry — treating patients across all ages, often multiple generations of the same family — with an emphasis on gentle, patient-centered care and building long-term patient relationships. Cosmetic procedures (veneers, whitening, Invisalign, laser dentistry) are also offered by the practice and may be part of the role depending on the associate's interest/training, though these are typically categorized as "special services" alongside the core general dentistry scope above.
