Associate Dentist

Duties

• Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and dental examinations, utilizing dental terminology and medical documentation standards.
• Utilize dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix to document patient records accurately and efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance and adhering to state healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal treatment outcomes.
• Administer local anesthesia following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Interpret medical imaging and apply anatomy knowledge for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote long-term dental wellness.

Requirements

• Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as an Associate Dentist.
• Proven experience in general dentistry with additional skills in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, or prosthodontics preferred.
• Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare diagnosis procedures, and medical records management.
• Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging practices.
• Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, dentures and other advanced procedures confidently.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
