We are out of network with delta dental and few other insurances. That means a higher production number for the same work and time compared to when you are in-network. For example, when you are in-network with delta dental, you might get $750/crown *30%= $225 , compare to when you are out of network, you get $1450*28%= $406. Lot of doctors get focused on percentage number but don’t really focus on percentage of what fees. 35% of medicaid fees might be still lower than 25% of UCR fees. ).
