Description: The role of the dentist is to diagnose and treat oral diseases and pathology. The primary focus is treating dental problems involving teeth, gums, and related parts of the mouth. Including but not limited to; tooth/ teeth debridement, correction of occlusion / overcrowding issues, perform surgeries, extractions, fillings, crown/bridge restorations, and endodontic therapy. To be a successful dentist, you should be caring, communicative, and possess the ability to explain dental treatments and procedures in a manner that is easily understood by the patient. The dentist is expected to provide patient advice, instruction, and counseling on oral care, post operative care, nutrition, smoking/nicotine cessation and lifestyle choices that affect oral and overall health.
